My Story
Early Life
Chris got his start in the digital world at just 8 years old, when he received a VIC-20 computer. What began as a curiosity quickly became a passion—he didn’t just play games, he took the machine apart and reverse-engineered the software to understand how everything worked. For Chris, the real fun was unraveling the mystery behind the code.
Eager to learn more, he subscribed to Popular Computing Magazine, hoping each new issue would include a software example he could study and recreate—fueling his early fascination with how ideas become digital experiences.
That same year, Chris also began ski racing. Taught by his father from the age of 3, he quickly rose to the top of his age group, often finishing first or second on race weekends. He continued competing through high school, learning invaluable lessons about discipline, competition, and resilience—skills that continue to shape his approach to work and life today.
To this day, skiing remains one of Chris’s favorite pursuits, offering the same sense of freedom and focus that first drew him to the slopes.
Career
Chris launched his first website in 1998 to promote a local restaurant and bar he worked at during college. At a time when small business websites were nearly unheard of, the site quickly gained traction—attracting thousands of daily visitors and earning a #1 ranking across major search engines, where it still ranks today.
In 2001, a longtime friend reached out to Chris to develop a website for their new motorcycle dealership in Colorado. With innovative features like photo galleries, event promotions, and early online marketing strategies—years before Facebook existed—the site became a market leader and customer favorite.
This success sparked a wave of new opportunities. Chris began helping small businesses, local groups, and entrepreneurs establish their online presence. From plumbers and pest control companies to authors, insurance agencies, and charitable organizations, he empowered clients to grow in the digital space.
Through this journey, Chris saw firsthand the constantly shifting challenges of technology, web hosting, and online marketing. He recognized that while the tools for success were out there, most people struggled to connect the dots. That insight led him to found Pedone Enterprises LLC—a company dedicated to simplifying the digital world and helping others bring their online vision to life.
Personal Life
Chris is a devoted family man, married to the love of his life, JoAnne. They live in Arlington, Virginia, where they’re raising their three children. As a family, they share a deep love for the beach in the summer and the mountains in the winter—spending their free time making memories by the ocean or skiing down the slopes together.
